How to update your hardware lock

Each Orbit installation requires a hardware lock to be present on the network. When initially receiving the Orbit software, the box will include a hardware lock and this lock will hold as many licenses for each Orbit product as you have purchased. Should the need arise to extend the number of the licenses, you need to use a small utility program located at

 

“C:\Program Files\Auga\Orbit\Hasp\customer.exe”.

 

The procedure is as explained below:

v    Run Customer.exe

v    Click “Get ID” button

Send the returned ID and the update order to your local dealer

 

Your local dealer will send back a hardware lock update file, to update the hardware lock do the following;

v    Run Customer.exe.

v    Click “Config” button.

v    Type in the path for received hardware lock update file, or use the “Browse” button.

v    Click OK.

 

Your hardware lock is now updated to your new number of licenses. To distribute the new licenses to the network, remember to run Orbit Pro or Orbit Front from the machine with the hardware lock attached.
